Greve in Chianti, Tuscany

Founded in 1934 by Orlando Trambusti, Chianti Trambusti (Tenuta Poggio ai Mandorli) started as a small storehouse in Greve in Chianti. After WWII the estate expanded; today it remains family-run, with the Trambusti family having preserved both tradition and quality across generations. The name “Poggio ai Mandorli” literally means “Hill of Almond Trees”. It reflects both the landscape and the history of the site. Almond trees dot the estate’s hillsides, offering protection against soil erosion and supporting biodiversity. The hillsides named “Poggio ai Mandorli” are among the estate’s prime vineyard parcels—well elevated, with ideal exposure to sun and airflow, contributing to wines with balance, elegance, and classic Chianti freshness.
