Crifo, Ruvo di Puglia, Apulia

Crifo is the brand of the Cantina di Ruvo di Puglia, founded in 1960 when 28 small growers united to escape the low prices imposed by northern merchants. They pooled their grapes, labor, and hopes into a cooperative built on solidarity. Over decades they shifted from bulk sales to estate bottlings, embracing modern techniques without losing their local roots.
